What is RocketShotz?
Rocketshotz is a very simple new way of browsing to your favorite mobile websites on your cell phone without ever having to type a URL on your phone again. It is easy to sign up, simple to use, and best of all it is free! All you need is a cell phone that is capabile of browsing the Internet, and you must have an active data plan through your mobile carrier. That's it!
How do you sign up?
It is easy. Just Click the "Create an Account" link on the homepage, or in the footer of the page, create a unique username and password, and you are ready to go. It is very important that you fill in your mobile telphone number as we will use it to send you a text message with a link to your Rocketshotz application. It is also very important that you submit a valid email address as we will use it to send you instructions, and account information. We will not use your contact infomration to send spam, and will not sell it to third parties!
I signed up, now what?
Now, all you need to do is log onto your account from your computer, and setup your RocketShotz links. Each button on the page is a different catagory. You can totally customize your Favorites, News, Travel, Weather and Finance. You can assign as many, or as few RocketShotz links in each catagory.
Once you have created an account, you should receive a text on your handset, and a welcome email with instructions for what to do next. If you haven't received it, don't worry, the next steps are simple:
- 1. Open a browser on your mobile phone, and go to http://rktsz.com. Then enter your username and password.
- 2. Then either bookmark the page, or better yet, set it as your homepage. After this, you won't have to enter anymore URLs on your phone keypad!!!
- 3. Use Rocketshotz to browse your favorite sites.
- 4. To customize your experinece, visite www.rocketshotz.com, log in, and setup your experience with all of your favorite sites. Come back often to see what is new for mobile web!
What is a QuickShotz Code?
A QuickShotz code is a 5 or 6 character code next to a RocketShotz icon that you may see on a billboard, point of sales material, on a website, or just about anywhere. If you see a QuickShotz code on something that you are interested in finding out more about, go to Rocketshotz on you phone, and click the rocket icon in the lower right corner of the screen. It will have an entry area where you can enter the code. If you enter the code, and click submit, a shortcut to the website that the code belongs to will instantly be added to your favorites. You can then check out their mobile site instantly on your phone, or you can check it out on your home PC, the next time you log into RocketShotz.com by looking in the Recently added QuickShotz area.
What are Monkeyshines?
Each time you click the Monkeyshines button, a random group of 3 links from our database of mobile websites will be displayed on your phone. It is a great way to find new mobile sites, kill some time when you don't have anything to do, or just see some of the variety of mobile sites that are out there.
I forgot my username or password. What do I do?
There is a link on the login page of RocketShotz.com if you forgot your username or password. You will need to enter the email address that you provided to have your login credentials emailed to you.
I found a great mobile site that isn't on Rocketshotz. Can you add it to RocketShotz?
Absolutely. Log into your Rocketshotz account, and in the footer navigation, there is a link to contribute a mobile site. Fill in the form to submit the website to us. The new site will appear shortly pending a quick review to ensure that we have not already added the site in a different catagory.
